City Square Mall: Toast Box

The little stools are not the most comfortable, but it’ll do when you’re craving for kopi or tea and want to have it in air-conditioned comfort. B always orders teh si kosong, but with my sweet tooth I prefer the usual tea. A mixture of evaporated and condensed milk always makes tea taste so much better. When I make it myself, at home, I use fresh milk as well. I can’t cook, but I console myself that I can at least make my own teh alia.

The decor here is very pleasant. And air-conditioning plus a huge ceiling fan is a big plus in my book.

Soft boiled eggs. I used to hate this as a kid, but I loved stirring it with a dash of pepper and soy sauce for my sister. She had this for breakfast as a 5 year old, while I stuck with toast.

The Ham and Cheese toast was super oily and the cheese was cold. Not good.

B told me to remind him not to order the Otak again as it was stale, but he was ok with the peanut butter toast. I prefer toast with butter and sugar.

If you feel cold easily, you could sit outside.
