Plaza Singapura: Collectible Toy Art

I absolutely loathe shopping at the malls, but I do like looking at art and in this case it was collectible toys. It really is an art form and one of the shops even had a little museum section within. I was marvelling at how life-like the figures looked.  All painted by hand.  I didn’t dare take any pictures though.  You have to go see for yourself.  The children will be mesmerized.

I was amazed at the likeness of the Wonder Woman figure to Lynda Carter.  This was in the store front. I am so glad that the awful TV remake with Adrianne Paliki was scrapped.

The vintage stewardess doll at another store, was captivating as well.

There were a whole row of action figure and toy stores. Toys for adults and even costumes for teenagers – what they call cosplay where you dress like up anime characters.

Didn’t know they’d nixed the remake. I was hoping it would be cool, but it wasn’t looking so great.

I’ve found a number of cute gifts for Ravi at the first store you mentioned.

  2. My husband would have loved this store! (she writes as she is gazing upon the $300 collectable statue of Thor and the “light up” iron man statue that grace’s her bedroom)

My partner collects these too 🙂 That was how I was first introduced to this world, although I have always loved the collectible barbies and female super hero figures more than Star Wars,
