Tourist seems to love Arab Street which is the Malay cultural district in Singapore also known as Kampong Glam, and I can see why. It’s such a lovely place to just be. We have Little India and Chinatown, but somehow I find Arab Street so much cooler. No crowds as well, which is great. Perhaps it’s also because it remains unexplored for me and still holds some element of surprise.
I love how elegant these Japanese ladies look. Love the hat as well and I wish Singaporeans would wear hats as well, then it wouldn’t be weird for me to wear one. I guess perhaps it’s because it’s too humid to wear a hat? It’s great protection from the sun though.
I do like stockings and I wish we could wear them, like this young girl is blue. Pity it’s too humid here to wear them. It was a cool day though. We can always tell the tourists apart because they have wonder in their eyes and are armed with cameras and their fashion sense is different.
Loved the shot of the tourist taking a photo from the middle of the road. Reminded me of how I was when I first visited the US. That’s the wonderful part about being a tourist. You see everything from the eyes of a child – with excitement and bliss.
