Singapore is becoming the Playground for the Rich: The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands

Opera Gallery with an beautiful vintage black and white print of a woman’s form. My first instinct is, having your butt exposed doesn’t look very comfortable, and I want to cover her up. It is an undeniably sensual portrait. Love her curves and the fact that she’s wearing stilettos. What are your thoughts when you first see this picture?

I found the Singapore sweet interesting too. In Singapore we say sweet instead of candy.

A couple was taking the sampan ride and I couldn’t resist snapping. I don’t think I would like to take the ride as you really become like an exhibit. Everyone was gaping at them. It was the first time I am catching a glimpse of the sampan rides. It’s an Asian take on the Gondola rides at the Venetian at in Las Vegas. Or is it a sampan? Maybe just a rowboat.  The real sampan boats are not that clean and spiffy looking. I usually think, rotting wood. Whatever it is, it’s nice to have new things to look at for entertainment.  I’m sure kids will love this.

I come here just to take photos. Most of the stuff I can’t afford. If I eat here, someone else is paying.

Here’s the intimidating sign outside the Casino. Saw two ladies stopped by the bouncer. He was pointing to the rubber slippers of one of the ladies and said it was not allowed, but pointed then to the Scholl slippers of the other one and said it was ok for her to go in. The ladies then switched slippers and probably the one who loves gambling more, went in. I was just thinking what about the poor lady who sacrificed. I don’t like gambling, but I would not want to be abandoned like that nor would I do it to someone else even if they said they were ok with it.

Another less intimidating entrance to the Casino.

A stunning looking blonde woman entering the Casino. I loved her baby blue dress and silver heels. If you’re blonde in Singapore, a real blonde that is – you’ll make heads turn, because it is so rare. Rare is always intriguing.

Among the shops you can see many luxury ones that are available at ION as well. Some seem to be just exclusive to The Shoppes at Marina Bay Sands (what a mouthful).

Christmas is still in the air. The decorations here were definitely some of the most beautiful.

I think they will probably be there for at least a week since there are 12 days of Christmas? But then again Chinese New Year will be here in a month so the decor may change in January. It’s the year of the Rabbit right?….so there’s potential for interesting new decorations 🙂
