Singapore Daily Photos: Driving by Tanjong Pagar Railway Station

It’s sad to think this place will soon be transformed, due to the railway being closed and the place changing hands from Malaysia to Singapore. I hope it doesn’t lose it’s charm and the fabulous prata and other authentic Malaysian snack stalls remain.

Even though I do post quite a bit about new malls, my heart remains with old brick or colonial buildings like this one, that fill me with nostalgia. Out of all the architectural designs I find arches very attractive.  Let’s cross our fingers and make a wish that the architecture in charge of the restoration and transformation project feels the same way.  We don’t need another expensive swanky place, that most people can’t afford.  Please keep this place down to earth.
